Winners date: 16TH / 02 / 2024

Our Judges will be looking for the most innovative IoT applications, or the products and services that are most valuable or beneficial (to both user & provider) and which advance the cause of the Internet of Things (IoT).

There are 11 categories for entry, encompassing every sector touched by the Internet of Things. You can enter as many different categories as you like.

IoT Product / Service of the Year Enter

The Products & Services must be in the Pilot / Test phase or in Full Deployment between January 2023 and January 2024.

  • Automotive, transport & travel

    These Products and Services could include (but are not restricted to) the following sectors: Air Transport, Automotive, Autonomous Vehicles, Driver Management, Fleet Management, Pedestrian Safety, Rail Transport, Shipping & Cargo Handling, and Telematics.

  • Big data, cloud & analytics

    These Products and Services could include (but are not restricted to) the following sectors: Data Collection, Collation, Storage, Manipulation, or Analysis.

  • Connected consumer & smart home

    These Products and Services could include (but are not restricted to) the following sectors: Audio, Video & Infotainment, Connection with Friends & Family, Domestic Waste Management, Home Security, Lifestyle Management, Pet Management, and Utility Management (including Energy & Water).

  • Connected health or wearable tech

    These Products and Services could include (but are not restricted to) the following sectors: Clinical Health Monitors for Chronic, Debilitating, or Life-Threatening Conditions (such as Cancer Care, Dementia Care, Diabetes Management, etc.). This Category may also include applications for Healthcare of Children, or the Elderly.

  • Industry & construction

    These Products and Services could include (but are not restricted to) the following sectors: Building & Infrastructure Construction, Logistics Control, Oil & Gas production, Primary Processing of Materials, Manufacturing, Mining & Exploration, Storage & Warehousing, etc.

  • Research & development or new launch

    The Research & Development can be in ANY sector of the Internet of Things. Extra marks will be awarded for successful Proofs of Concept.

  • Retail, marketing & hospitality

    These Products and Services could include (but are not restricted to) the following sectors: Online / Bricks & Mortar Retail, Retail Display & Signposting, Business-to-Consumer Marketing & Promotion, Hotel and Travel.

  • Securing IoT

    PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT a Category for securing Consumer or Commercial Property (i.e. it is NOT for Access Control, CCTV, etc.). The Judges will be looking for the Product or Service that will do most to ENHANCE THE SECURITY OF CURRENT OR FUTURE IoT APPLICATIONS, and which will advance the cause of the Internet of Things (IoT). These Products and Services could include (but are not restricted to) the following sectors: IoT Data Encryption, Secure IoT Data Transfer, Threat Alert, Control & Resolution, etc.

  • Smart cities, government & utilities

    These Products and Services could include (but are not restricted to) the following sectors: Environment Monitoring, Irrigation, Policing & Crime Control, Smart Lighting / Parking / Transport, and Waste Management. Extra marks will be awarded for the proven, successful integration of multiple applications.

IoT Business Excellence Enter

The IoT Executive & Start-Up / Business Development / Partner Ecosystem must be active in the Internet of Things between January 2023 and January 2024.

  • IoT Executive of the year

    In this Award Category the Judges will be looking for the most creative, innovative, dynamic, or inspirational IoT executive. He or she can come from any country and any discipline, be it Chief Executive / Finance / Innovation / Marketing / Operations / Sales / Strategy / Technology / Officer, etc. This is the executive who, in the opinion of the Judges, is most likely to benefit not just sales in their own Organisation but who will advance the IoT as a whole. Extra marks will be awarded for Proofs of this wider benefit.

  • Start up, business development or ecosystem of the year

    In this Award Category the Judges will be looking for the Year’s most creative, innovative, dynamic, or inspirational Start-Up Company, Development of an Existing IoT Business (or part of an IoT Business), or creation / development of a Partner Ecosystem. This is the Start-Up, Business Development or Partner Ecosystem which, in the opinion of the Judges, is most likely to advance their business / ecosystem and - where possible - the IoT as a whole. Extra marks will be awarded for Proofs of this wider benefit.
